Growing up on the Kalama River in Southwest Washington, I developed an early love for fishing. Steelhead and Salmon runs were strong and I enjoyed using a variety of techniques. My first good rod was a Sage GSH290 back in the 80s. That changed everything for me. What I found was that the better the equipment the more fun the fishing was. Top quality gear  does magnify the experience.

I build every rod with that in mind – making the fishing experience more rewarding – whether it be the feel of a subtle take, having the power to cast that fly into the wind or just looking good in that trophy fish pic!

I stand behind every rod I build with excellent customer service. You will only pay once for the labor of building that dream rod. If a rod breaks and you have chosen a rod with a lifetime warranty, the only charge will be any manufacturers handing charge and shipping back to you. Most of my rods carry that lifetime warranty.

Build / Order Process:

You will find on my pages some wonderful rod and reel options. The options I list are some of the finest at a variety of price points. When selecting a rod from the menus you can pick the specific model, color etc. After the purchase is made depending on the model I present some reel seat options especially those having wood inserts. I stock at least 50 wood inserts at any given time so I will match your rod choice up with several good options for you to choose. We can take into consideration color of the blank, color of a reel, favorite color, etc… and make this the perfect rod for you.
